PRAYER REQUESTS
“Without prayer, we can do nothing. But through prayer, we can do anything God calls us to do.” – Amy Carmichael, missionary to India
How You Can Pray This Month
We’re continually reminded how much we depend on the Lord—and how meaningful it is to have you standing with us in prayer.
There are many things we can plan and prepare for, but it is God who opens doors, softens hearts, and sustains us along the way. Your prayers are a vital part of that work, and we’re deeply thankful for your faithfulness.
Join us in prayer this month:
How You Can Pray for Our Family
• Pray that the Lord would continue to equip Joel, Kelly, and Janaya for the work He has entrusted to us. Ask Him to deepen our faith, strengthen our character, and give us wisdom, endurance, and joyful hearts as we seek to serve Him faithfully each day.
• Pray that God would open opportunities for us to share the love of Christ in practical and meaningful ways throughout Chiang Mai. Ask Him to make us sensitive to the needs of those around us and bold in showing His compassion through both our words and our actions.
• Pray for Janaya as she begins her final year of high school. Ask the Lord to give her diligence in her studies, confidence in her abilities, and wisdom as she looks toward the future. Pray that she would continue to grow in her relationship with Christ and develop the gifts God has placed within her.
• Pray that our family would continue to walk closely with the Lord during this season of ministry. Ask Him to give us discerning hearts, unity in our relationships, and a growing dependence on His guidance as we seek to follow His will each day.
• Pray that the Lord would protect our family as we live and serve in Thailand. Ask Him to grant us good health, renewed strength, and His daily peace, while continuing to make our home a place where Christ's love is evident to everyone who enters.
How You Can Pray for the Thai People & Our Ministry
• Pray for Joel as he preaches at Friends of Grace Thai Christian Church, about 40 minutes east of Chiang Mai, on August 23. Pray that the Holy Spirit would anoint the message, prepare hearts to receive God's Word, and bring encouragement, conviction, and lasting spiritual fruit in the lives of those who attend.
• Pray for Kelly and Rhythms in Motion as she continues sharing the vision of this ministry while we are in the United States. Ask the Lord to provide meaningful opportunities to connect with individuals, churches, and potential ministry partners who will embrace the vision behind this outreach. Pray that God would use these conversations to encourage others and expand the impact of Rhythms in Motion in the months ahead.
• Pray for our upcoming Safe Journey outreach on August 27–28 at a high school in Fang, Northern Thailand, where we plan to distribute 82 motorcycle helmets and New Testaments to students. Approximately 300 students will attend the program. Pray that the Gospel would be received with open hearts and that many students would begin asking questions about Jesus and respond to His invitation to follow Him. Also pray that the Lord would continue opening doors for future Safe Journey outreaches throughout Thailand.
• Pray for the village outreach we will participate in with evangelist Mint during our trip to Fang. We will be sharing the Gospel with both children and adults. Ask the Lord to prepare hearts in advance, give us meaningful conversations, and draw many people to Himself through the witness of His people.
• Pray for wisdom and smooth logistics as we prepare additional Safe Journey outreaches at high schools in Chiang Mai Province and Northeast Thailand during September, November, and December. Ask the Lord to guide every detail and continue opening the right doors in each community.
• Pray for God's continued provision as we seek to purchase an additional 350 motorcycle helmets and 500 New Testaments for our remaining Safe Journey outreaches in 2026. Ask Him to supply every need through faithful partners so that we can continue sharing both practical help and the hope of the Gospel with students across Thailand.
• Please continue to pray for Police Captain James and his family as they grow in their walk with Christ. We are grateful to partner with him each month by providing 10 motorcycle helmets and 10 New Testaments for distribution through his community outreach. As Captain James shares these encounters with his more than 230,000 social media followers, pray that God would use both his online testimony and his personal witness to draw many people to Christ. Also pray that James and Winnie would continue to mature in their faith, faithfully disciple their children, and become a lasting testimony of God's transforming grace in their community.

We deeply appreciate your faithful prayers. Every petition you offer rises before the Lord and strengthens the work He's doing in Thailand.
Your intercession truly matters, and we are encouraged knowing we do not walk this road alone.
May He surround you with peace, joy, and renewed strength as you continue to stand with us in prayer (Philippians 1:3–5).
